Abstract: ADAM is a powerful text editor based on EVE, the Extensible VAX Editor from Digital Equipment Corporation. Major changes have been made to EVE to increase power, flexibility and scope. The ADAM editor has a built in "FRED" dialect which may be entered by invoking the editor with the FRED command or editing a FORTRAN source code. FRED has special modifications useful for editing FORTRAN files. A mode for editing DCL command language files is also provided.
