 This version of Super Star Trek runs on Digital Equipment Corporation
 VAX computers using the VAX/VMS operating system. This version was
 created by modifying the version running on a Xerox Sigma-7 at Bonner
 & Moore Computing Company in Houston, Texas. The original program was
 developed for the CDC-6600 at the University of Texas at Austin.

INSTALLATION:

To install the game, type

     $ @TREKLINK

to link the object library modules. Next assign "HELPFILE" to the
device and directory containing the Startrek help file, i.e.

     $ Assign DM0:[GAMES]STARTREK.HLP HELPFILE

To start the game, simply type

     $ Run STARTREK

and the program will prompt for all further information. If you have never
played before, type

     CMD: HELP

for some general information about the game.

Note that the program uses the VT100 escape sequence to find out if
you are playing on a VT100. If you are not, the program will seem to
hang for about 10 seconds because the terminal will not answer the
inquiry. Play will then continue without formatted screen output.
