 PURPOSE:  The purpose of this document is to describe the files
	   and procedures that perform the archiving of raw data.

This utility is composed of several different kinds of files, they are:

	ARCHIVE.DOC
	-----------

	    This file.


	DECUS_LIB_ARCHIVE.LN03
	----------------------

	    This ln03 file contains the complete documentation on
	how to perform the archiving of raw data.


	DECUS_LIB_ARCHIVE.SDML
	----------------------

	    This file contains the VAX DOCUMENT sdml source file that
	produces the decus_lib_archive.ln03 file.

	MR-1566-GE.PLUS, MR-1566-GE.PS
	------------------------------

	    These two files contain figures used in the creation of
	the decus_lib_archive.ln03 documentation file.

	
	ARCHIVE.DTR
	-----------

	    This Datatrieve procedure contains routines that can be
	used to query the LIMS/SM Catalog Database.


	COPY_RAW_FILES.COM
	------------------

	    This file is the DCL command procedure that drives the
	archiving of raw data files.  This command prcedure is 
	inserted into limssmarc.com.


	FETCH_RAW_FILES.FOR
	-------------------

	    This FORTRAN source code program extracts the 
	TRQ_RAW_DATA_LOCATIONs into a file for use by the 
	COPY_RAW_FILES.COM command procedure.
