DECUS Essential Tools Collection, 1996 for OpenVMS Alpha and OpenVMS VAX (VS0174)


  Set various attributes of a process that standard DCL SET command does not
  allow. This is a continually improving and very dangerous program.  
  If you don't know exactly what you are doing then DON'T DO IT ! 

  At present ESET is limited to processes on the local cluster node
  and to VAX/VMS (but one day, the world !).

  This program was written by Ian Miller and is extended whenever 
  I feel the need. It is inspired by programs written by Nick De Smith,
  Hunter Goatley, Bruce Ellis, Joe Meadows and probably other Gurus.

  The ESET.EXE here in the distribution was built on OpenVMS/VAX V5.5-2
  using VAXC V3.2

Futures

1. Improve quota handling. In particular trying to resume a process stuck
   in a resource wait state after increasing its quotas.
2. Implement changing of other quotas e.g. JQUOTA, CPU TIME LIMIT
3. port to OpenVMS Alpha
4. port to DEC C
